Laconia World Cruise

In January 1923 the Laconia made what is considered the first world cruise by a ship. Chartered by the Frank C Clark Travel Agency of New York the Laconia departed on a 130 day cruise that took in 22 ports around the world. On 20 January 1926 the Laconia left New York on Clark's sxith cruise around the world. The following photographs were taken from an album of pictures taken during the 1926 World Cruise. Sadly the album was broken-up into lots and sold, but this small collection of passenger and crew photographs, and photographs of the Laconia, were reunited and are published for the first time on this website.
